Over the years I’ve dabbled at the self-portrait but have always held back something. There is a fear of exposing some part of my being that I am ashamed of. I always stop short of removing the mask.
I began thinking more about this today after coming across the photography of Jen Davis. Jen doesn’t shy away from anything. Her photos exude an honesty that one must admire and praise.
